Postdoctoral Position in Bilingualism, Jagiellonian University, Krakow, Poland
Applications are invited for a short-term full-time post-doctoral position in the Psychology of Language and Bilingualism Lab at the Institute of Psychology, Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. The position is funded by the Polish National Science Centre grant entitled “Competition or coordination? Impact of short-term and long-term language experience on language regulation and cognitive functions in bilinguals” (2015/18/E/HS6/00428); PI: Dr. Zofia Wodniecka.
TThe project investigates how the language environment impacts language processing in bilinguals. It traces intra-individual changes within linguistic knowledge due to changes in the environment. We are currently at the stage of analyzing data collected in Polish-English migrants living in the L2 environment in the UK and a control group tested in Poland. Duration of employment depends on a start date, but cannot be shorter than 6 months and needs to commence by April 1st 2024 at the latest (contact the PI for details).
